Midreign Feast: Chili Cook-off - 3/30/2013

Postby Grix » Mon Mar 04, 2013 6:10 pm

I love chili. A lot of you love chili as well. Lets make a bunch of it and convince each other to eat it. Then lets vote on which chili is the best and punish the person(s) that made it by embarrassing them in court giving them a prize that they have to pretend to enjoy! (It's entirely likely that they will enjoy the prize, but it hasn't exactly been decided on yet)

I've had a few people express interest already. Please post below if you plan to participate in the competition.

I would like each entrant to bring a single pot of chili and a ladle or spoon to serve it with. Utensils and bowls will be provided. If anyone is also interested in making some side dishes, that would be sweet too.

I plan on also having some hot sauces on hand for anyone that wants to make the chili extra awesome. If people want to bring their own hot sauces, that would be pretty sweet too. Hot sauce use should probably be reserved for chili that you've already tried as it was intended since it will definitely alter, or overpower, the chili's flavor.

Any other questions or concerns, go ahead and post here. Thanks!

I love Chili! The only problem is that it is never the same twice because I kind of throw whatever I have into the pot, and it usually tastes good by accident. Let's see if the trend continues!

Chili this Saturday. I'm totally excited. There's still time to make your own chili and enter it!
